MP Mustafa El Gendy member of parliament

MP Mostafa El-Gendy, member of the House of Representatives, called Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, to give greater attention to patients with muscular distrophy, stressing that they suffer the most because of their government’s neglect and failure to implement their previous promises: the establishment of a center for muscular dystrophy patients on the ground of the Polio Institute. El-Gendy said in a briefing to Prime Minister Dr. Ali Abdel-Aal to the Minister of Health that the government’s promises to provide treatment have not been realized, and there is no type of medicine to treat the disease in Egypt. They are taking vitamins to build muscles only, because of the drug crisis and high prices. Warning the government that ignoring these citizens infected with the disease and who are subject to early death by the age of thirty years is just not helping them nor doing them any good.
